Bindery: 
Takes care of binding work of journals, books and newspapers. 



Outer Counter/ Property Counter:- 
Users keep all his/her belongings at this counter except money, jewellery and notebooks against proper token. Users write their names on the visitors’ register. 
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue):- 
It allows users to search for all materials (such as books, journals, etc.) available in the Library Collection. Library members can also check their library account. 
Browsing/Internet Access Centre:- 
Offers Internet/browsing service to the Faculty, students and others. Adequate assistance is provided to access information on web. Wi-Fi configuration of laptops is also done here. 
Circulation Counter:- 
Dedicated to the issue of library membership cards, Issue and return of books. 
Reference Section: 
Encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks and books on Kashmir are kept here. Personal help to the users in retrieving information from the library sources is given here. 


Text Books Section: 
Rich collection of core text books relevant to the courses taught in the university. Users can browse through the book racks and can also take the help from the section incharge in locating their relevant books. 

Lending Section:
Rich collection of general books/books relevant to the courses taught in the university is available. 

Urdu Section :- 
Books on literature and study of Urdu language are available. 

Urdu Backfiles :- 
Possesses books and journals on Urdu, Kashmiri, Islamic studies, Arabic and Persian etc. It also holds the special collection viz. Usmania Collection, Fyzee Collection

Science Backfiles:-
Besides Internet facility to research scholars, it also holds bound volumes of Science Backfiles comprising of wide range of subjects. 



Social Science Backfiles:-

Besides social science Backfiles, this section also houses good collection of Hindi and Sanskrit language literature and it also maintains archives of newspapers (Both Local & National) right from 1959. 



Less Used Collection Section:- 
Houses books, though less used but very useful and properly shelved, arranged and catalogued. In addition to this it also maintains Theses and Dissertations of various disciplines are shelved here in a systematic order. It also holds the Special Collection viz, 
• Tilok Chand Mehroom Collection (Donated by his son Prof. Jagan Nath Azad)
