Today, a group of visually impaired students from Delhi Public School (DPS), Srinagar visited Allama Iqbal library. During their visit, they interacted with the University Librarian Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Loan and Ms. Ruhi Jan, Assistant Professor, Dept of Education.
The students were introduced to the various facilities and services available in the library to support visually impaired users. Ms. Ruhi Jan shared her personal academic journey, highlighting the challenges she faced as a visually impaired student and how she overcame them to achieve her current position as an Assistant Professor. She inspired the students to pursue higher education with determination, emphasizing that obstacles can be surmounted with perseverance and the right resources.
Additionally, Ms. Ruhi Jan provided valuable suggestions on leveraging assistive technologies to enhance their academic experience. The session was both informative and motivational, leaving the students encouraged and better informed about the opportunities available to them.
