A User Awareness Programme was organised by the Allama Iqbal Library for the visiting faculty members and research scholars of the South Campus, University of Kashmir on 11th December 2025. Almost 20 participants attended the programme. The programme highlights are as under:
1. Complete library tour from ground floor (24x7 Library Reading Hall) to the 7th Floor conducted by Mr. Tajamul Hassan (JPA);
2. Showcasing of resources and facilities available in the Allama Iqbal Library including books, journals, databases, e-journals, archives, Web- OPAC and self-check-in and check-out kiosks conducted by Mr. Tajamul Hassan (JPA);
3. Comprehensive training of the Remote Access Services (KU eLibrary Platform) of the Allama Iqbal Library including user registration and access to huge collection of resources available through the platform (both Online and through dedicated App) conducted by Mr. Ishtiyaq Hussain (PA);
4. Comprehensive awareness about the Plagiarism Detection Software (Drillbit Extreme) available under ShodhShuddhi programme of UGC-INFLIBNET Centre for checking Similarity Index of the theses/ project reports/ research articles. Besides, the users were acquainted about the Shodhganga repository of Indian Electronic Theses and Dissertations maintained by the UGC-INFLIBNET Centre conducted by Dr. Ghulam Jeelani (PA).
